How long will my treatment last? This is the most difficult question to answer because, it depends.... The length of your treatment will depend on your condition and your goals. Some people may only need a few sessions, while others may need several weeks or months of therapy. Since we use a hybrid method of treatment using our app to give you exercises at home, my patients usually only need 2-4 sessions per month. This method ensures you stay on track, receive the hands on care you need and ultimately, saves you time and money.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to receive physical therapy? In Florida you do not need a referral to be seen by a physical therapist. However, if after 30 days of therapy I do not see any improvements, I will refer you to a physician or orthopedic doctor to schedule a consult. Most clients who see me first and quickly after an injury, do not end up needing imaging or further referrals and will begin to see improvements after a few treatments sessions.

What is the strength training class? Our strength training class is designed to increase muscle mass, tone your body, and help you become a more capable and stronger human being! In the process, you will probably notice your physique improve due to all the muscle you are building. The workouts each week will be part of a year long program split into phases to improve your performance and athleticism. Periodically we will engage in active rest weeks which are essential for recovery and growth as well as performance weeks where you will get to explore new movement patterns and test your limits. The class itself will consist of a split training: full body weight training and circuit training workouts to torch calories and maximize muscle building. There will be stations set up throughout the studio with a timer and modifications to accommodate all levels of athletes. Our program is designed by a physical therapist with performance in mind. While the concept of variety seems fun, we know for a scientific fact that it does not yield the results you want. At Borne PT we focus on principles and utilize progressive loading aka a gradual increase of stress (the good kind) to stimulate growth and adaptation in order to achieve the tone look you desire. Don't worry, an instructor will be helping you and guiding you throughout the whole process. So grab a friend and lets get started!
